‘Magical Miro”
2nd-grade students were introduced to Joan Miro and “automatic” painting, where students painted on white paper with India ink random lines and gestures. Students then painted their abstract ink paintings with watercolor to enhance their compositions.
“Pumpkin Perspective”
2nd-grade students learned about Grant Wood and perspective to create their own pumpkin patch scenes using crayon and watercolor-resist method.
